Frequently Asked
Questions
How do I get
my artwork or logo to you?
Email your art
to us at
customerservice@sticklespress.com.
In the Subject Title write “My Artwork” and your name.
Formats that are
acceptable and considered "artwork ready" are - .eps, .ai, .psd, .pdf or
anything else vector. If all you have is a jpeg or a .gif then we will
quote you on time it will take to edit it. There is a $20/ hour design
fee for any artwork needing editing.
Will the
screen printing fade on my shirts after a few washings?
No. The printed image on screen printed shirts is very durable and will
hold up for a long time as they are directly printed onto the garment
using plastisol ink. The image will not peel off and can't be otherwise
removed. However, we do recommend washing your garment inside out to
prolong the new look longer! As for the garment itself, 50/50 will hold
it's color longer than 100% cotton.
Do you sell
"blank" or "unprinted" items?
Yes. Just click on the appropriate item on the home page and then add to
cart. If you want them for resale then fill out our form under
“wholesale” and you will get them at a discounted rate and you wont have to pay tax on your items.
What is
Ink Printing Sublimation?
Sublimation and ink
printing are specially formulated for photographic quality images that
surpass high end silk screening and rival offset press results. To
understand sublimation inks, let’s first discuss the meaning of
sublimation.
Sublimation describes
the process of a solid substance changing directly into a gas or vapor. An example
of this which is most recognizable is "dry ice".
In the printing world
the term "sublimation" is used to describe heat-activated inks that
change into gas when heated and have the ability to bond with polyester
or acrylic surfaces. Sublimated images are extremely washable and
scratch resistant because the image is protected within the surface.
Just like a tattoo is under the skin!
How long does
shipping take?
All orders are
completed in 7-10 business days and then shipped out the next
business day. We typically use USPS
1st Class, USPS PRIORITY MAIL and UPS ground.
Sublimated shirts are printed and
shipped in 3-5 business days.
Do
Sublimated shirts come in black?
Unfortunately no, sublimation ink does not work on
opaque dark fabrics. We do recommend ash
grey which is the darkest t-shirt color that works on some designs.
If you want the image on your apparel to be most similar to the colors
represented in your graphic, you should choose a white garment.
If
you prefer black garments, our vinyl graphics are a great substitution for printing photographic
to single color
images on dark colored shirts at a low cost.
Do I
need to wash the Sublimated shirts differently?
Yes - the ink is heat
activated. It turns into a gas when heated above 150 degrees. So only
wash your Sublimated garments in cold water with mild detergent and hang
or lay flat to dry.
